We have a variety of volunteer positions and opportunities available to fit your interests, talents, and availability. Whether you would like to volunteer on an ongoing basis or for a special project, we have positions that fit your busy schedule.

We rely on volunteerism in order to serve the number of people in need that do every year. We work closely with those who need service hours to complete scouting projects, class requirements, or community service.
Golden Empire Gleaners is always in need of volunteers.

We are currently recruiting drivers, cooks, receptionists, office help, and special events.

Volunteer Cooks
Volunteer cook opportunities are available daily, Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm. Volunteer cooks set out snack foods for mid-morning 15 minute breaks and prepare lunch for 20 plus volunteers with food from our pantry.

All volunteers are offered a fresh lunch prepared by the volunteer cook during their shift.
Volunteer Truck Drivers
Volunteer Truck Drivers are needed Monday through Friday
7:30 am to 11:00 am
CDL required and clean driving record.

We appreciate our volunteers!
If an individual does not have a referral, they can volunteer in our warehouse for one day and receive a thank-you food box.
Volunteers are eligible for a food box ONCE PER WEEK.

Volunteers MUST arrive and sign in no later than 7:30 am.
​
Most shifts are under 6 hours
​
We feed our volunteer breakfast, a snack at 10:00 am, and a hot lunch at noon.
​

Volunteer Orientation
Please report promptly at 7:30 am for orientation.
​
Those interested in a food box, please make sure to fill out a PINK ORDER SHEET during morning check-in. A food box will be available at the end of the volunteer day.

Please note the warehouse is closed on the first Friday of each month, therefore volunteer opportunities will not be available.
